I am here...

I am here...I am alive...apparently my computer at home has been hit with a virus and I cannot get to my blog...so I am at my mom's right now just to give everyone an update (without pics unfortunately).


Tuesday, Feb 21st around 1:00 am, I started getting contractions on my own.  After much debate, we called my dad to come and watch Maddy...then headed to the hospital.  When we got there around 3:00 am, they hooked me up to monitors and said we were there till we had him.  I won't get into details but all I will say is...it was brutal.  My first labour was induced and only 10 hours...this one I had higher hopes because everyone told me the second will be quicker etc...well guess what...WRONG.  I endured 22 hours of labour without epidural.  Technically I had an epidural but it didn't take and therefore, I felt everything.  I wouldn't dilate, I wouldn't progress, nothing was going right.  When it was finally time to push and his head came through, they quickly realized that the cord was wrapped around his neck.  Panic mode set in and they basically ripped my baby out of me.  Owie. 

Tanner Cole was born Wednesday, February 22 at 12:10 am weighing 9 lbs, 3 oz. 

Maddy is a great big sister so far - she loves to help at bath time....but she
also has her moments when she just wants us to do things with her...anyways, Hubby is still home another week and then we will be on our own.

I hope to get my computer fixed so that I can get on my blog from there...till then...I am still alive and well!

Thursday Thoughts

- Last night was hard to figure out the TV schedule...it was the Season Premiere of Survivor: One World (in my pool, I have the midget - Leif Manson), One Tree Hill, Hubby had Storage Wars taping AND he had a Pittsburgh Penguins game on too.

 - Baby T cannot come out passed today until Monday...why?  Because our hospital only has epidural available between Monday and Thursday.

- My due date is Monday - woo hoo...except I can't even get in for an appointment that day, have to go the next day...

- A guy from our community, a family friend growing up...same age as Hubby...passed away this week suddenly from a brain aneurysm...so sad! RIP Jeff!

- Sunday is Landyn's christening...

- Tomorrow I think I am going to go to the city...1) to bring Maddy to daycare maybe for her last time 2) so Hubby doesn't have to pay for parking again 3) so I can go out and get any last minute things for Baby T 4) so I can get go and get a gift for Landyn (anyone have suggestions what to get him for a christening gift??) 5) to take Hubby's NEW glasses back to get repaired as there is a bubble in the lens!

- I have only been on Mat leave 4 days...and I am bored already.  At least soon I will have the new baby to occupy the time.

- Yesterday Maddy and I made some flower magnets for the fridge...it was a craft kid from her daycare provider...today...maybe we'll make cookies

- Make cookies?  Probably just laze around.  Seems like that's all I want to do these days...with Maddy home, she's pretty easy, she'll do her own thing but the minute I close my eyes, she feels the need to have to come and kiss me...

- Last night was a horrible night with Maddy...contemplating calling a professional in...she just DOES NOT listen then when you put her on time out - she is constantly telling you that her heart is broken, she wants to apologize, she is sorry and she PROMISES to be good etc...etc...etc...
