HELP?

I need some parenting advice!!!

Maddy woke up yesterday complaining of a sore belly and sore forehead...this has become a daily thing with her, so we usually brush it off and see what happens a couple hours later.  We decided to head to a local Tractor Pull with my Mom and Dad to see some friends.  She was fine the first couple of hours there, playing with her little friends then all of a sudden, she's warm and laying in a bed in a trailer, complaining of this sore belly and sore forehead and wants to go home.  She is saying everything is too bright.  We pack up and head home.  Not even two minutes in the truck, she's sound asleep.

We get home and she is sorta just lounging in her bed.  She eventually came downstairs, had a little bit of soup and seemed fine the rest of the night.

This morning - she woke up complaining again, crying she didn't want to go daycare, that she wanted to stay at home cuz she was sooo sore.  I feel bad, I really do but can a 4 year old possibly be faking already?  I hate to say she's faking but what is wrong with her?  She has no fever...

The thing that I am wondering however is...could it be her eyes?  It's almost like she's getting migraines or something...is that possible in a 4 year old?  Does she really know what a headache would even be?  When she says she has a sore forehead, it's usually just to get medecine (meaning a fever).

I don't want to waste my time in Emergency for hours, because honestly...they will say what's wrong...my reply will be - she has a sore belly...but no puking, no diarrhea.  She stayed home with Hubby today and when I got to work and was talking to him - she had fallen back asleep.  I am hoping she just had a busy weekend and needs to catch up on her sleep - or it's from the heat (maybe even dehydration - although she drinks a lot of water)...

I will re-assess her when I get home and go from there I guess!

Oh Stac, that sucks! Poor Maddy! Maybe it would be better to get it checked out just incase if she is still complaining of pains tomorrow? Maybe it's a simple thing but better to be safe then sorry! Hope she feels better soon! xo

There is something definitely going around... Piper in June had a fever that kept coming and going that lasted about 3-4 days...and then in July she had the same thing again but this time she threw up 3 times in total. I decided to bring her in..and all they told me was that it's a bug going around.

Maddy is 4 yrs old now, so it wouldn't hurt to go get her eyes tested, and it wouldn't hurt to see a family doctor either....

I would definately get her eyes checked. My son used to come home from school when he was 5 & 6 complaining of a headache frequently and he would go to bed (for the night)! It continually got worse and he started vomiting with the headaches, needless to say I took him to our family doc and was told he was getting "childhood migraines". From there, took him to the eye doc and ta...da today he is wearing glasses (from the age of 6) and nearly all headaches are completely gone!!
