This weekend was a busy one...but I forgot my camera so you will have to wait for actual pictures.
Friday evening I gathered with the ladies to discuss The Carrie Diairies at Sara's house. Great discussion, great friends and great snacks = a good night!
Saturday morning I ran to the city to return Maddy's floatation device that was too small and looked all over for something equivalent. When I got home, it was mandatory that Maddy had a nap before we headed over to Lindsay and Ryan's pool party. Maddy NEEDS a nap when we are planning on going somewhere cuz if not, she ends up being VERY CRANKY.
When she got up, we got dressed and headed over to the pool party. There were lots of people, lots of kids and LOTS of food. Lindsay will have it posted I am sure about it all and showing some pictures cuz I did forget my camera that day. The funniest thing of the day was that Maddy wanted to hang out in the "hot bath" all day. Her bath water at home is practically cold so I thought it was pretty funny that she wanted to be in the hot tub...actually most of the kids wanted to be in there. The weather was nice and sunny but there was a chilling wind. I went in the pool with Maddy once but she gets too scared that you are going to let go of her. I NEED to get her in swimming lessons!
Saturday evening when I got home, I quickly made a cake for Fathers Day (pics to come). It was a pretty messy job but it was good so that's all that matters right, and besides it wasn't for a paying customer, it was just for the fam!
Sunday morning I was up early making bacon cuz my family was coming for Fathers Day breakfast. We munched on bacon, sausages, potato pancakes, eggs and toast. The guys then headed out to the golf course where I picked Hubby up and then headed to his sister's for their Fathers Day celerbrations.
The day was spent outside by the pool and trampoline then we had a BBQ and cake.
All 3 of us were BEAT when we got home. We did our nightly routine of baths then curled up on the couch with popcorn and watched CARS cuz we would like to take Maddy to see CARS 2 this weekend!
I am also nursing a sore heel today. Yesterday I flipped out the patio door at my sister in laws and really hurt my heel...I am pretty sure I chipped a bone or something...but I had to put that in here cuz Hubby is getting sick of me complaining about it!

sounds like a jam packed weekend! My friends daughter will be 5 this fall and she was in our pool on Saturday. She's scared to death of the deep end (but at that age, can you really blame her...) so she was in a tube and I swam her to the deep end and back 4 or 5 times and then I hung on to the side and made her swim from the shallow end to the deep end and back until I was at the far end. Now Tori was swimming that with her but a little at a time.. :)
