The Next Best Thing
Happy Friday Everyone!!! This time next week, I will be scrambling to get all the food prep, cupcakes made, and loot bags ready for Maddy's 4th Birthday Party (Cupcake Themed)...we always like to get her something "big" but sometimes it's hard, especially right after Christmas because she is still playing with all her new toys and doesn't really want anything. However, when I asked her what she wanted for her birthday she said this:
What kind of 4 year old even knows what a pogo stick is...so I asked her, thinking maybe she meant something else...
Mommy: "Maddy, you don't even know what a pogo stick is"
Maddy: "Yes, you bounce on it"
Yep - she clearly knows what she wants...regardless - can you even find these things anymore - furthermore, she would NEVER be able to use one and this is why...
Her Tinkerbell Bike that the Easter Bunny brought her last year...she likes to sit on it and pretend to move, however she DOES not know how to drive it...she can't grasp the fact that it just doesn't steer itself...we're hoping this summer she will learn.
Her Barbie Jeep that her Auntie Tracy got from a neighbour (that Daddy paid for...Maddy always thinks that Auntie Trace bought it for her but Hubby ALWAYS corrects her that Auntie Trace picked it up but HE paid for it)...anyways, this thing is powered and she can't even ride this. You would think sitting in the Jeep pressing a button with your foot would be easy - yep that part is easy....but she doesn't steer...and then she gets mad when she hits something and gets stuck...so frustrating.
The 4 wheeler that is WAY OUT OF OUR LEAGUE...this was a picture of a friend's - we do not own one nor will Maddy EVER have her own...too dangerous for me.
So....with this being said, the next best thing we came up with is this:
How hard can this be...it's self propelled and well she just has to turn her body to make the thing go...let's hope she can master this. Check them out here. The only downside, we don't have anywhere for her to drive it right now, not until summer when we can use the Church parking lot next door to us...so BRING ON SUMMER!! - oh and I ended up getting myself one too - so she is actually getting 2 Plasma Cars but 1 is for me...can't wait!!

Haha...Stacy that is too funny! They are a blast, my nephew has one and he uses it in the house. So much fun. Hope the planning is going well and that you have a good weekend.
hahahaha! I can't wait until the snow is all gone so I can see you on that thing! Casey wanted to set one up last night and make sure it worked properly and everything. You'll have yours tomorrow :)
I can't wait to try it out - I'm hoping she knows how to use it!
Hmmmm... I've never heard or seen one of those! And yeah, having a kids birthday in the winter is hard. We got my step-daughter a trampoline. Boy is it cold but we still have fun on it :)
You'll definitely have to do the test run for her lol at least she doesnt have to pedal or anything so I'm sure she'll do great on it!
